Additional Black & Decker BDDP100 3.2 Amp 10-Inch Drill Press with 5 Speeds Information
|
If an 8-inch drill press is too small for your projects, but a 12-inch model is too expensive for your budget, try this 10-inch drill press. The Black & Decker BDDP100 10-Inch Bench Drill Press has an induction motor for long-lasting, smooth performance while the pivoting motor mount maintains correct belt tension and facilitates speed changes. Other convenient features include a 3-spoke pilot wheel for operator ease of use, adjustable-position, locking depth stop for accurate depth measurement and repetitive drilling, and a tilting table with slots for fast clamping of work. This unit also has a standard 3-jaw, ½-inch capacity chuck for positive gripping of various drill press cutting tools. It has five speeds from 620 to 3,100 rpm. The cast iron table tilts up to 45 degrees for angled drilling and has a rack and pinion raising mechanism for easy adjustments. Slots in the table allow mounting vises, clamps, auxiliary tables, and other accessories. The chuck accepts bits with up to 1/2-inch shanks, allowing the use of larger wood boring bits. A 2-1/4-inch stroke length allows the drilling of deeper holes without having to re-position the work piece. The on/off switch is also removable to prevent unauthorized use. Flexible Lamp included. The drill press includes a 2 year warranty.

What Customers Say About Black & Decker BDDP100 3.2 Amp 10-Inch Drill Press with 5 Speeds:

Considering my cost, I can live with these short-falls. However, the quill does have a slight wooble and the motor is weak. If I had paid full-price $99+, I would be very disappointed. First of all, I paid $39 for this item during a close-out sale at a local big-box retailer. Accordingly, my opinions are bias by my low cost. The unit is pretty good for drilling small (1" diameter or less) holes in wood.
No complaints here -- nice little machine. Have only used it on wood projects so far, but it set up easily and works perfectly in my home shop.
The instructions probably could have been clearer on a few things. It's nice and heavy so I didn't even worry about it tipping over as my initial uses where done without fastening down the unit. I feel however that this is a fine drill press for small projects. The light is untested. Overall this machine has preformed exactly as I expected it to.
Easy to use and built very well for a small bench press.Very satisfied with this amazing product. It has a 2 1/4 stroke which allows its to drill a hole without repositioning the blanks. I am a small time wood worker who turns pen and pencil on a lathe. Black & Decker drill press works great for drilling the center holes.
